Bush Pays Rare Visit to Air Force One's Press Cabin
http://www.reuters.com/newsArticle.jhtml?type=politicsNews&storyID=6506511

LAS VEGAS (Reuters) - President Bush paid a rare visit to the press cabin aboard Air Force One on Thursday to express optimism about his prospects and dismiss polls showing Democrat John Kerry won their third debate.

"The debate phase of the campaign is over and now it's a sprint to the finish," Bush said. "I'm excited about it. My spirits are high. I'm enthusiastic about my chances."

Bush, joined by Arizona Sen. John McCain, spoke on what was only his third visit to the Air Force One press cabin since he took office in January 2001, as the Bush campaign sought to reassure Republican supporters after post-debate polls indicated Kerry won the last debate.

he is so desperate that he now talking to the "hired" folk.

24. bush coward pokes head out of shell
Keep up the pressure, the bush coward needs to come out of hiding and stand up like a man. He needs to come clean with the American people, let them know he is just the dirty little coward hiding behind handlers and even a phony "faith". This man is a total loser, the spoiled brat that has failed at everything, I would not be surprised if he commits public suicide after the American people learn how much of his appearance is just an act, that he is indeed just a pathetic lost soul. The bush coward is not half the man his dad was and he never will be, at least his dad went down like a man. Democrats need to keep the pressure on this coward, they need to keep reminding him he is not half the man his father was and he should stop hiding his true identity. He is bad for America, no he is bad for the world, a total loser, taking the world back and causing great harm for many of it's people, he is a disgrace to mankind.

happen" line from the first debate, when asked by the moderator about whether the country would be at higher risk of a terror attack if(when) Kerry wins?

what happened to "i intend to win?"

10. If the press senses his visit as a sign of weakness they may not write
about him as favorably. I firmly believe that what O Reilly wrote or said about Franken sums up why they stick with him, they see him or his family and connections as having the ability to make problems vanish, keep jobs, etc. etc. If they sense that he is weak then they will move to the winner. That is why he has not visited. He did visit quite a bit when he needed them in 2000. Kicked em to the curb after the election, but for some perverse reason they read that move as a sign of strength. If he comes off as pathetic or someone who is begging for help they will leave like the rats left the proverbial sinking ship. Betcha.

32. "held against his will"
that is exactly what mccain looked like! the look on his face reminded me of a high school girl who was never that popular, but agreed to a date with the big man on campus, only to find that he is a bully, and "has plans for her." alas, she lacks the social skill and sense of self to speak up, and so instead, cowers next the bully, desparately hoping she looks "okay" and that no one knows how afraid she really is - except anyone with any sense can see how afraid she is...

the body language in the clip i saw said alot! bush leaning casually/aggressively against mccain, and mccain standing there, as still as a rabbit caught in the headlights.

i don't have much respect for mccain, but after seeing that this eve, i'm sure the bushies must be exerting intense pressure on the man. geez, i felt sorry for the guy!

oh! and welcome to DU Catchawave! :hi:

29. Well….I think it comes down to this….
If you keep your nose clean and don’t ask the wrong questions….you may get to be one of a dozen or so reporters that are asked to fly on Air Force One…..otherwise, you’re regulated to the press plane that follows. So in that context, the twit had little to fear…..from the biggest whores in journalism (cough)

35. ADD might be possible BUT...
Frontline people talked about his memory. He met people one week, still knew all about them next month.

ADD people don't have that BUT synesthetes do. That's kind of ADD Plus.

However, I refuse to believe George has synesthesia.
