Rove testifies in Plame investigation...Today's news!
Rove Testifies in CIA Leak Investigation

CURT ANDERSON

Associated Press

WASHINGTON - President Bush's top political adviser, Karl Rove, testified Friday before a federal grand jury trying to determine if an administration official leaked the name of an undercover CIA officer.

Rove spent more than two hours testifying before the panel, according to an administration official who spoke only on condition of anonymity because such proceedings are secret.

Before testifying, Rove was interviewed at least once by investigators probing the leak. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney have also been interviewed in their offices, with Secretary of State Colin Powell, White House counsel Alberto Gonzalez and press secretary Scott McClellan among the administration officials appearing before the grand jury.

Maybe Novak will be next. The Reporters cases won't be heard until after the election, so don't expect any breaking news before November. But it's still alive!!

7. Not true.....
It can be a "strong issue" if we make it one. I agree that indictments aren't going to come down before the election. However, if people from DU were to write letters to the editor of hundreds of newspapers across America, and noted how the administration has dragged its feet on this, people would take notice.

If we asked what is more harmful to America, Kerry mentioning Cheney's daughter during the debate, or White House officials exposing Valerie Plame ?

What if we asked how this case would have played out if it happened that high-ranking Clinton officials exposed a CIA operative who specialized in investigating the sale of WMD components? And the administration attempted to avoid cooperating with a federal investigation?

This issue is political dynamite. Let's not blow the opportunity by waiting for the media to do for us what we need to do for ourselves. The LTTE are one of most influential sections of newspapers in the final weeks before an election.
