Lord Lucan murder case reopened
Edited on Sat Oct-16-04 09:17 AM by emad aisat sana
BBC News

The body of Lord Lucan has never been found

The investigation into the Lord Lucan murder case has reopened - almost 30 years after his disappearance.

Detectives are examining existing police evidence and will use DNA profiling to try to solve the case.

The 7th Earl of Lucan vanished in November 1974, a day after the murdered body of his children's nanny Sandra Rivett was found at his London home.

Over the years numerous people have claimed sightings of the aristocrat, whose body has never been found.

For those who remember it, top Lucan murder suspects include various members of the IRA as well as these UK aristos believed to be heavily in debt to P2 Lodge master Licio Gelli:

Duke of Westminster, Gerald Grosvenor

Also Mayfair club/casino owner Henry Tonga, DeBeers Diamond Co executive Hugh Van Cutsem and Robin d'Erlanger.

They were all involved in a covert military cabal that was once busted in London for an orgy involving minors under the auspices of the Hellfire Club. Gelli was owed a lot of money by Lucan whose other gaming debts saw him blackballed from his favorite gambling haunts.

Gelli currently up on murder charges before the Rome magistrates accused of executing God's banker Roberto Calvi..............

2. Fascinating, tangled story.
Lord Lucan of Crimean war fame is another interesting character.

3. What a creepy looking guy!
The rest of them are pretty scary too. Are there any aristocrats that don't do double-duty as the scum of the earth?

4. Don't judge them on their looks
They didn't have anything to do with the murder. These are just pictures of random rich people.

Lucan, though, is probably guilty.

6. Lucan was a double agent for MI6/KGB and deeply in debt to the
Goldsmiths, Mark Birley and Annabel Vane Tempest-Stewart Goldsmith's brother who became the 7th Lord Londoderry.

He was enmeshed with the IRA who pursued him after a disastrous UK property fraud went belly up.

Up to 200 London properties are believed to have been fraudulently sold on after his 1974 disappearance.

Looks like one hell of a sting, particularly to all those Mandelson beneficiaries of the 1998 Good Friday Agreement.

"They didn't have anything to do with the murder. These are just pictures of random rich people."

You mean to say that there's no grand conspiracy of Masonic lodges, Rosicrucians, Papists, Monarchists, international financiers, Martians, and Irish Republicans spanning centuries and encompassing much of today's ruling-classes?

Hehe..

Gotta wonder how often conspiracy theorists were dropped on their heads as babies.

<edit>

Anyone ever read Umberto Eco's "Foucault's Pendulum"?

8. If you read the Police archives on the Lucan case all the above
Edited on Tue Oct-19-04 08:27 AM by emad aisat sana
plus others not named here are on the original list of those questioned about their financial, social, family and other links to Lucan.

More infor about these is also held in a series of police interview transcripts connected to their questioning of Lucan's official heir, his son George Bingham, who had a hard fight getting his hands on his paternal legacy/

The Lucan IRA connection as well as his disastrous career as a MI6 mole is like ancient history in the UK to those who reported on the original debacle.

Edit: spelling, forgot my specs......
