9. A little bit about the Tribune Co.
TRIBUNE is one of the country’s premier media companies, operating businesses in broadcasting and publishing. It reaches more than 80 percent of U.S. households and is the only media organization with television stations, newspapers and websites in the nation’s top three markets. In publishing, Tribune operates 13 leading daily newspapers including the Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune, Newsday and Spanish-language Hoy, plus a wide range of targeted publications. The company’s broadcasting group includes 26 television stations; Superstation WGN on national cable; WGN-AM in Chicago; and the Chicago Cubs baseball team. In-depth news and information websites complement Tribune’s print and broadcast properties and extend the company’s nationwide audience.

2. Yeah that'll happen when the last time you endorse a Democrat
was 1872....(Horace Greeley, and he was really a liberal Republican who got nominated by the Democrats)

I wanna see if they're gonna have the huevos to endorse Keyes next.

5. This is an editorial
also you don't have a link

Editorials with a John Kerry endorsement are being allowed in LBN.

6. Revised note from moderator
Big paper endorsements of Bush will be allowed... :puke: Hope we don't see too many!
We still need a link on this one.

Thanks

7. Hate that piece of crap 'news'paper
Unfortunately I grew up with it in the house. It has an obvious rightwing bias. Chicago ACS doesn't even use it to line the animal cages ;-)

8. No shock there.
Frankly, I'd have been shocked if they DIDN'T go for the GOP nominee. The Trib is about as conservative as it gets (and always has been!)

I agree fully with the comment upthread about wondering if they'll offer an endorsement for Keyes. I really think they will have a HUGE loss of credibility if they DO endorse him--he's SUCH a wingnut. However, they are really going to look bad to the IL GOP if they break ranks and support Obama and his calm, sane, rational ideas. I DO love the delicious irony of it all!

As for an endorsement for the chimp today? You have GOT to know that it won't mean squat in the Chicago election results. This won't even register a blip against the Chicago Democratic organization.
