Bush and Kerry Can At Least Agree on One Thing: Supporting Israel

http://www.taipeitimes.com/News/edit/archives/2004/10/19/2003207548

<snip>

There's no doubt about the power of the Israel lobby in Washington. The wealthy pro-Israeli umbrella group, AIPAC, is described as Washington's "700 pound gorilla." The organization documents every vote in Congress and makes sure legislators who don't support Israel face well-funded opponents in the next election.

But the success of the Israeli lobbyists is most clearly seen in US policies since the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. Bush and Kerry do not talk of a "clash of cultures" but rather see the US in a global war against extremism in the Islamic-Arabic world, in which Israel and the US are usually mentioned in the same hostile breath.

2. And that country has sure become in-turned to killing.
It is not that I think terrorist have helped at all, those people are just as bad but both seem to have reached the point of not caring who they kill and Israel seems to have the less killed out of these two countries. So in body count we know who has won but both seems to have lost in every other way. Time to work on another plan this one has worked badly for both.

3. that's right...
and the first terrorist truck bombs exploded in the so-called Jewish seciton of Jerusalem BEFORE Independence Day in 1948, killing dozens. so I guess it's been going on for a long long time and, like everything in the Middle East, is not going to stop anytime soon. Every generation invents popular music, drug culture, sexual escapades, and terrorism.

"Plans" don't count for much when it seems that this is the ultimate heritage of mankind.

4. Right on as terror has been around a long time.
Beat them over the head if you can not win or live together with some reason.
