RAF base shut over rifle incident (UK)
"One of the RAF's biggest air bases in the UK has been closed after a serviceman went on the loose with a high-velocity rifle.

Roads around RAF Kinloss in the north east of Scotland have been shut and staff told not to report for work.

The incident began at 0400 at the main gate. A source has told the BBC a man is loose in the base with the rifle...

Grampian Police said about 30 officers, some armed, had been sent to the base and that a stretch of the B9089 road was closed from the village of the Kinloss to the eastern perimeter. "
