Qantas Ready for Union Stoush: Dixon

Qantas chief executive Geoff Dixon has told shareholders the airline
is ready for a stoush with unions.

Qantas workers are threatening industrial action if shareholders
agree to a 66% increase in fees paid to company directors.

Australian Services Union spokeswoman Linda White calls the
proposed pay increase excessive.

She says the hike is unjustified at a time when workers are being
offered only a 3% pay increase.
