FALLUJAH, Iraq, Oct. 21 (Xinhuanet) -- The US army launched air raids on the flash point city of Fallujah overnight, hitting four houses in two districts and wounding six people, and US troops arrested two women outside the city, a witness and medical source said Thursday.

The overnight air strikes destroyed three houses in Shuhadaa district and a house in northern Fallujah, Abdul-Rahman al-Issawi,local resident, told Xinhua.

"We have received six injured people after US warplanes attackedthe city," Saleh al-Issawi, an official of Fallujah General Hospital, told Xinhua.

In a separate event, US troops launched an attack on a house near the Karma area outside Fallujah at about 2:00 am (2300 GMT Wednesday), arresting two women, Abdul-Rahman said.
