Powell Seeks to Revive N.Korea Talks on Asia Trip
http://www.reuters.com/newsArticle.jhtml?type=topNews&storyID=6575060§ion=news

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Secretary of State Colin Powell will try to revive talks to scrap North Korea's nuclear programs on a trip to Asia starting on Saturday but his chances are limited by uncertainty over the outcome of the U.S. election.

On his first visit to the region for 18 months, Powell will hammer out with Japan, China and South Korea a strategy to persuade the reclusive North Korea back to six-party negotiations which it has refused to attend since June.

1. Powell has no hammer
he has nothing at all. Except he still gets paid by the US taxpayer for lying to the UN and for all he has done to promote the Bush regime. He has a deflated balloon and keeps swatting it around as if it were a hammer.

2. Why would North Korea want to talk to those countries when their
beef is with the US. they want to talk directly with the US and there is no reason in hell why we should not talk with them. Bush* thinks they are not his equal so he wants the underlings (China, Japan, South Korea) to do the talking. We should be in the know and have first hand information on every single thing that is discussed and to think differently is just plain ignorant.

3. Ridiculous!
Zero chance of accomplishing anything before the election. How stupid can you get? Maybe Powell needs to be away from home for a reason.
