U.S. forces kill two Iraqi children

U.S. forces opened fire at a car near the rebel-held city of Fallujah, that has two Iraqi young girls, killing the two of them, an Iraqi who helped rescue four people wounded in the attack said on Friday.

Villager Mahmoud Mohammed said the mother of the two children and the driver of the car, both wounded in the attack, described the incident to him, saying that a U.S. tank had fired at the car in Naamiya, six miles southeast of Fallujah.

Two other Iraqi children in the car were injured.

Hospital officials in Fallujah confirmed the casualties.

The U.S. military didn’t comment immediately on the attack.
