Republican Group Accused of Voter Fraud
This is a new one - this one is in Minneapolis. Please vote it up on Yahoo News.

By DEBORAH HASTINGS, AP National Writer

Substitute teacher Adam Banse wanted a summer job with flexible hours, so he signed up to knock on doors in suburban Minneapolis and register people to vote. He quit after two hours.

"They said if you bring back a bunch of Democratic cards, you'll be fired," Banse contends. "At that point, I said, `Whoa. Something's wrong here.'"

...

"We treat these complaints very seriously," said Oregon Secretary of State Bill Bradbury. The Democratic office-holder said three complaints were filed with election officials throughout the state. He declined to provide details, citing the continuing investigation.

2. Since when is there party registration in Minnesota?
I lived there 15 years and never registered for a political party.

3. Maybe the reporter got the name of the city wrong?
Beyond the one quote I posted above, the rest of the article discusses this problem in other states, not MN.

4. In MN, you still don't register as IR, DFL or any party
The only time you need to identify your party is when you vote in the primary. Even then, you haven't registered, you simply get to vote in one party's primary election.
