Reno Gazette - Journal: Candidates deadlocked in Nevada (B-49 - K-47).
Edited on Sun Oct-24-04 02:55 AM by Sean Reynolds
This poll shows the race closer than the Las Vegas Sun poll, but I think Nevada might be going blue in 2004!

As Election Day nears and the number of undecided voters dwindles, President Bush and U.S. Sen. John Kerry remain in a tight-locked race for Nevada’s five electoral votes, according to a new statewide poll.

Mirroring results from polls conducted throughout the fiercely contested race in Nevada, 49 percent of the 600 likely voters surveyed would vote for Bush and 47 percent would vote for Kerry, according to the Reno Gazette-Journal/News 4 poll.

Only 2 percent of those surveyed remained undecided — representing a shrinking ability for either candidate to break open the race before Nov. 2. While Bush has consistently maintained a slight lead over his Democratic challenger, poll results have nearly always put the two in a statistical dead heat.

2. This is good news
and it must jibe with Kerry's internal polls considering they are still playing for it. I always figured Bush may have a slight lead in the state and I doubted that he had a lead of 10 points like the recent Mason Dixon polls.

I heard that Dems are doing well in early voting...

I heard IA early voting shows Kerry with a lead as well. He may end up winning the state because of absentee ballots. Gore actually got some 7000 less votes in IA on election day but won by 4000 because of absentee ballots.

I'm also getting more confident we'll win OH and FL...and FL will be by several hundred thousand votes, making it harder for them to steal.
