Kerry Accuses Bush of Incompetence
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=694&ncid=716&e=1&u=/ap/20041025/ap_on_el_pr/campaign_rdp

ALAMOGORDO, N.M. - President Bush (news - web sites), presenting himself as the best candidate to keep America safe, was accused by John Kerry (news - web sites) on Monday of "unbelievable incompetence" in the disappearance of hundreds of tons of powerful explosives in Iraq (news - web sites).

"Every step of the way, this administration has miscalculated," Kerry said in Dover, N.H. He spoke shortly before traveling to Philadelphia for a rally with former President Clinton (news - web sites), who was making his first political appearance since heart surgery nearly seven weeks ago.

Kerry said the Bush administration had "miscalculated about how to go to war, miscalculated about the numbers of troops that we would need, miscalculated about sending young Americans to war without the armor they needed, without the Humvees they needed that were armored."

"And the incredible incompetence of this president and this administration has put our troops at risk and put this country at greater risk than we ought to be," Kerry said.

Would be nice, though.

8. That's the word that should have been attached to AWOL/morons
ass starting in about April. Every ad should have said this....

Got 8/6 PDB that warned of Bin Laden attack and what did he do? Nothing. Incompetence

Took record budget surplus that was well on the way to paying off our national debt and turned them into record deficits. Incompetence

1st pres since 1930 to preside over net job loss. Incompetence

1st pres to preside over lower stock prices since he took office since 1930. Incompetence.

Combine that with his performance in that 1st debate and this moron would be polling at 38% right now.

24. Is it an accusation or a statement of fact?
I think accusation means something that has yet to be proven. Statement of fact would be... well... Bush being incompetent!

2. Right on
I like listening to John Kerry and reading his quotes, he is an effective speaker that will make a very good President. Atleast 100x better then the current occupant at the White House.

3. * is incompetence personified.
I wonder how much of that stolen explosive material was used in Iraq today ?

BAGHDAD, Oct 25 (Reuters) - A U.S. soldier was killed and five were wounded when a roadside bomb exploded in western Baghdad on Monday, the U.S. military said.

It said a truck was also damaged in the blast. The soldier's death brought to 845 the number of U.S. troops killed in action since the start of the Iraq war last year.

4. Way to go! and in other news, Edwards accuses Cheney of
incontinence. /kidding.

Glad Kerry is saying it - its obvious, someone needs to make it clear, Kerry is one to do so. The administrations "miscalculations" have done irreparable damage to the US.

12. This indicates that had there been WMD's in Iraq
The most surefire way of them getting into terrorist hands would be to go to war with Iraq, nand we may heve been safer with Hussein sitting on them.

It is quite possible that they may have existed, but were lifted by people in Iraq who were more congnizant of where they were being hidden, and stole thme for future use with the insurgents, or even worse, transferred them across one of the borders (most likely the Saudi border as an attack on Saudi Arabia would be the most unlikely) to be picked up later by Al Qaeda operatives for use in an attempt to overthow the Saudi government. Or just moved out of Saudi Arabia through Yemen.

13. I don't think it means it was more likely
WMD existed. It just means that had they existed, we likely wouldn't have recovered them because of this keystone cops administration. I still do not believe nor have I seen any evidence that there were WMD in Iraq. bush had said he isn't a 'detail kind of guy'-but apparently he forgot to assign that task to anyone.

15. Lets look at it this way
If they were there, and they disappeared, would the Bush Administration be likely to let on? Or would it be informations that was not even put into memo form to be leaked?

14. This shows that WMDs were never a real reason to invade.

Remember that the Oil Ministry was the first and only thing that was siezed and protected when the invasion began. Had WMDs been a reason for invading, this storage facility and many others would have been secure first.

This should be the wooden stake thru the heart of the bush bloodsuckers.

Bush hard. I think this will move the undecideds. I watched on CNN. Just wondered if FAUX bothered to carry the entire speech. Or did some creative editing.
