Bush says Kerry would "cut and run" from Iraq (attacks Clinton too)
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=1521&ncid=696&e=3&u=/afp/20041025/pl_afp/us_vote_bush

US President George W. Bush charged that Democratic White House hopeful John Kerry had "a strategy of pessimism and retreat" in Iraq and was unfit to lead the war on terrorism.

"My opponent has the wrong strategy, for the wrong country, and the wrong time," the president said, accusing Kerry of wanting to return to fighting terrorists "with subpoenas and a few cruise missiles."

That was a reference to former US President Bill Clinton, who launched cruise missile strikes in 1998 at camps in Afghanistan in a failed effort to kill Osama bin Laden, and was campaigning for Kerry in Pennsylvania on Monday.

-snip-

"Will America return to the defensive, reactive mindset that sought to manage the dangers to our country? Or will we fight a real war with the goal of victory?" he said.

Kerry "calls America's missions in Iraq a mistake, a diversion, a colossal error. Then he says he's the right man to win the war," said Bush. "You cannot win a war you do not believe in fighting."

The Bushies sound more and more desparate and pathetic each day! :grr: :grr: :eyes:

3. Does Bush STILL not understand that...
...the Iraq war does NOT = "war on terror". His continued refusal to acknowledge reality in an effort to reduce what is actually a two-front war (with one of those fronts being the "colossal mistake") into some world war all-encompassing thing he can shroud all his dismal failures with is becoming astonishingly tiresome.

5. Very creative

"My opponent has the wrong strategy, for the wrong country, and the wrong time."

Very creative, indeed. Of course, if Kerry's strategy is the wrong one, what do you call Bush's?

"You cannot win a war you do not believe in fighting."

Which is why I believe we aren't winning the war in Iraq. We say we're going to liberate the country, disarm Saddam, avenge the Kurds, and resanctify the "Oil for food" program. What, exactly, we believe in changes every week.

The Iraqis know why they're fighting us, but our Administration's ever-changing motives for this war are hurting us.

8. it amazes me how they diminish the role law enforcement has
in fighting terrorism. i bet john asscroft is salivating at the chance to say his g-men play a big role in fighting terrorism, but now that kerry has exposed this 'war' for the fraud it is, poor johnny can't come out of the closet.

12. Good Point
The FBI has done a fantastic job, for the most part in the 90s, keeping the terrorists at bay.

Said (paraphrasing) that Bush invents this stuff, that no one but Bush has ever talked about cutting and running.

11. Maybe just maybe if we were more defensive in August of 2001,
9/11/01 would not have happened.

Maybe if the current CinC had followed Clinton's lead in preventing the millenium attack in November and December of 1999, in August of 2001 by putting the nation on high alert for hijacking after reading an August 6th Presidential Daily Briefing or leaking information on Zacarious Massoui arrested on August 18th to the press.

18. Latest breaking statement from Butch campaign:
"Hosemama ben Lager attacked us on 9/11. I know that! Unka Dick reminded me through my ear piece.

But, the important thing is, I'm really tall. Well over 7 feet, I think. Wear a size 14 cowboy boot. I know how to use a chainsaw. You think Kerry can do that? It ain't easy, ya know! Almost cut my own face off while huntin' terrists out on the 'ranch.' Kerry just can't do the things that I do. Think he can drink a quart of scotch in 48 seconds flat? Didn't think so. Wrong time, right place, most liberal pilot in the French Foreign legion! He keeps sending them mexed missages about stuff. I don't like that, even though I ain't sure what that means, exactly.

But we can, um...the war on terror is sorta-not-un-probably winnable. I'll have to get back to you after my trainers tell me what I was supposed to mean. But, my strategery to solve the health care monocle is much more better than Senator Smarty-pants' plan. He thinks he can just give shots to people who need 'em, even though the manufacturer of those shot-thingies keeps docs from practicin' their love with unwed mothers. You can hide, but you can't run, because we are TURNIN' THE CORNER on health care!

Outsourcin' jobs is what we have to do. It's hard work sending our jobs to other countries so we can have better tests in this country to be sure our children is learning! LET ME FINISH! Who you want running our demonocracy? A goose shootin' liberal sail boarder? Huh? Nooooo. Vote for me, cause I'm a bow-legged dumb-ass with a rich family! And that's what it's all about, really. Isn't it? Isn't it?"

24. In all actuallity
* nevers lets us down. When there is something stupid to say or do, sure enough there he is flapping his lips. From my understanding the Black vote for * has increased since 2000. So therefore, * had no choice but to do something stupid to piss them off and he did it big time dissing the Big Dog.

One more week and the nightmare is over!!!!!!
