Coors' open wallet
Republican Pete Coors has dumped another $500,000 of his money into his U.S. Senate campaign, bringing the total infusion of his personal cash in the general election to more than $1 million.

As a result, Coors becomes the first Colorado U.S. Senate candidate to meet the threshold for the so-called millionaire amendment under federal campaign finance laws. This may allow his opponent, Ken Salazar, to accept individual contributions of up to $6,000, three times the normal individual contribution limit of $2,000.

Coors, who had $630,000 left in his campaign fund last week, said he wanted the extra money to defend himself against attack ads recently aired by independent political committees.

Salazar, who has $436,000 remaining, called Coors' actions "desperate."

2. Attack ads, my ass.
Coors was the one who started the attack ads, accusing Salazar of being the cause behind the Summitville mine pollution (which happened before he was even in office). Now he cries foul when Salazar rightly points out that Coors brewing is one of the top 10 polluters in Colorado.

Poor Pete. He's going down.

4. I wonder how many deaths coors is responsible for?
Not just drunks who killed themselves behind the wheel of a car but innocent people minding their own business. How many famalies have been torn apart from pete selling his swill?

7. Not including deaths due to gay bashing.
Gay America let professional lesbian Mary Cheney make them believe Coors was "kinder - gentler" towards gays. The big lie! Coors never met a religious right-wing group they didn't like nor fund.

8. It was Peter Coors' father, who funded the beginnings of the
right wing movement in the late seventies. Coors believed in the separation of classes and wanted the clock moved back to the 1800's. He believed in the hierarchy of the Germans.

Joseph Coors actually funded one of the first right wing organization (The Heritage Foundation) to return wealth to the upper class. He thought that the middle class should be smaller. Thus they convinced Reagan to move against social programs and unions.

13. Anyone notice in-state Coors TV ads?
Since Coors announced, all the Coors ads have been scrubbed clean of the jiggly-boobs, party-with-two-girls-on-your-face imagery that is the stock in trade for their ads. Now, it's all about 'the coldest tasting beer in the world', whatever the hell that means.

Just watch - after the election, it'll be back to party-time.

Coors is desperate - his ads basically paint Salazar as a tax-hike crazed Osama concubine. I don't sense a lot of movement left in the Senate race - Salazar by 2-3%.
