2. Good question. My answer...

Even those who should know better appear on Fox because:

a) They'll do anything for a vote
b) They fear its power
c) They realize right wing culture dominates public discourse now
d) They'd rather collaborate than risk the consequences (see point a)

But that kind of appeasement has bad consequences. As you point out it legitimizes Fox. We won't get anywhere until the Democratic Party stops playing along.
