N.J. Mom Vows to Keep Protesting Iraq War
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20041018/ap_on_re_us/soldier_s_mother&cid=519&ncid=1607

HOPEWELL TOWNSHIP, N.J. - When President Bush (news - web sites) and the first lady come looking for votes in New Jersey, Sue Niederer vows to be nowhere near them. She doesn't want to risk finding herself in handcuffs again.

Last month, police escorted Niederer from a rally after she demanded to know why her son, Army 1st Lt. Seth Dvorin, was killed in Iraq (news - web sites). Dvorin died in February while trying to disarm a bomb.

Video footage of Niederer holding a sign with the words "President Bush You Killed My Son" was splashed across television screens for days. Prosecutors later dropped trespass charges against her.

But while President Bush and his wife were scheduled to be an hour's drive away on Monday, Niederer has no plans to join any of her fellow war protesters outside the campaign rally.

"I'm not going near any of the Bushies," said Niederer, a substitute school teacher. "I'm not going to subject myself to any of it. My point was made."

1. Isn't it amazing how the
so-called support-the-troops crew is not outraged by Mrs. Neiderer's treatment?

2. They only support you if you're a hardcore right-winger.
Anyone not in lockstep with the neoconservative military agenda is considered a traitor.

3. My admiration and sympathy go out to this woman...
...who, to her eternal grief, truly knows the cost of blind patriotism.

Mommas, don't let your babies grow up to vote for cowboys.
