Bush Jobs Gain Claim Rests on Jobs Not Yet Counted
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - With days to go before the presidential election, the Bush administration is trumpeting the creation of nearly 2 million jobs in the past 13 months -- a claim critics say rests on payrolls not yet officially logged by the Labor Department

The expected-but-not-yet-counted jobs underpin a figure President Bush (news - web sites) and his team are using to rebut a charge by Democrats that Bush will be the first president since Herbert Hoover to see a net job loss during his tenure.

Lee Price, research director with the liberal-leaning Economic Policy Institute and a former chief economist at the Commerce Department (news - web sites), said Treasury chief John Snow -- one of the first to tout 1.9 million jobs created since August 2003 -- is indulging in data inflation.

"He's reaching to lift that number close to 2 million," said Price.

5. Finally we get a report on the "pretend" jobs that are over half of the
new jobs in the past year.

The "birth/death" numbers that are DOL estimates for the increase in self-employed at home workers will not show up on the payroll data until March of next year - at which point I expect one hell of a cut back in the employed number!

They lose almost 4million jobs, and then gain out of that
almost 2million with a almost 2million job deficit
That is Republican thinking, they think they are doing a good job

of failing companies. He figures that it's really all just bullshit and it doesn't matter anyway, so why not just lie about it.

25. big deal: even lying, he has the worst jobs record since
Herbert Hoover.

So instead of "he is the first pres. have a net loss of jobs since Herbert Hoover" "even falsely inflating his job numbers, he still has the worst jobs record since Herbert Hoover"
