SAN FRANCISCO (CBS.MW) -- Celanese Acetate (CZ) said Tuesday that it plans to consolidate its acetate flake and tow manufacturing to three of its plants. About 900 to 1,100 jobs will be cut as a result of the restructuring. The company said it will phase out its Rock Hill, S.C. acetate flake facility and will discontinue operations at its Edmonton, Canada acetate tow plant in mid-2005.
