Plane Crashes in Mo., Wis. Kills Four
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - A small private plane crashed while approaching the airport here, killing two of three people aboard and seriously injuring the survivor, officials said.

The single-engine Cessna 182, which seats up to six people, was en route from Oklahoma to the Springfield-Branson Regional Airport when it crashed about a half-mile away Tuesday night, said Tony Molinaro, a spokesman for the Federal Aviation Administration (news - web sites) in Chicago. The cause was not known.

Three people were aboard; two were killed and one was seriously injured, Molinaro said. Cox South hospital would not release that person's condition late Tuesday night. The crash victims were not immediately identified.

Gary Cyr, acting director of aviation at the airport, said the plane was trying to land when it crashed in a farm field.

4. Yes. It's sad but this is basically the expected background noise.
I appreciate the losses can be extremely personal and I don't wish to belittle them. Unfortunately, several of these accidents each week is pretty common.

YET, put on the tinfoil hat, I think ANYTHING that is DOABLE is POSSIBLE under THIS administration.

Also Tuesday, a small airplane crashed in the woods in the central Wisconsin town of Marion, killing both people aboard. Authorities indicated the victims were a man and woman in their 50s from central Minnesota.

8. Ah, bad grammar in the headline...
... (and I didn't read the story).

Headline *should* have been: Plane crashes in MO, Wis. kill four.

7. This is the third small plane crash in Missouri in the last two weeks
Had one go down in Jefferson City, killing two. Last Monday, the eighteenth we had a commuter plane go down in Kirksville, killing fifteen(two literally walked away). Now this. I think part of the reason there has been a jump in Missouri is that the weather has been shitty for the past couple of weeks, lots of rain, wind, fog and mist. Not a good mix for small planes.
