Great article! 400 head count was correct, and very positive writing.
.....excerpt from the middle.....
The hundreds of protesters were from all over Ohio. They represented peaceniks, union workers, teachers, environmentalists, women's rights advocates
and those who just plain don't like Bush. The protesters, led by the Ohio AFL-CIO, initially planned to gather at Richfield City Park, which would have been next door to the official presidential speech site. The White House ordered the protest moved, said Brian Rothenberg, a spokesman for the organizers. Richfield Police arranged for an alternative gathering at Richfield Woods Park, Rothenberg said. The park is nowhere in sight of the president, so the group decided to march to an intersection where Bush would pass by.
AFL-CIO members inflated a giant rat at the park before about 300 marchers set off with a rallying cry from Bill Burga, president of the Ohio AFL-CIO.
"Let's have a good, peaceful protest," he told a cheering crowd. "But let's make sure the rat sees the rat."
.....end excerpt.....
I guess we could have complained about being moved 1/2 mile away if one of the protestors went up there and got arrested for being anti-bush* when pro-bush* people were allowed to protest.
Read down to the end of the article for Congressman Sherrod Brown's quote. It is sweet.
