Kerry Says Bush Has Failed Middle Class
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=615&ncid=696&e=1&u=/nm/20041027/pl_nm/campaign_kerry_dc

Speaking to supporters in Sioux City, Iowa, he devoted most of his time to the economic conditions faced by the middle class, which he said had deteriorated during Bush's term.

"He's given more to those with the most at the expense of the middle class and those that are struggling to get ahead," Kerry said at a rally in this Midwest battleground state.

"We need a fresh start," he said. "Middle-class families can't afford four more years of a Bush economy."

-snip-

Kerry decried the loss of 1.6 million private sector jobs over the last four years and charged the president's policies had benefited drug companies and left working Americans struggling to pay their health-care bills.

1. I love Kerry but why doesn't he talk more about the poor in his speeches?
Edited on Wed Oct-27-04 12:31 PM by puddycat
When I was watching him (on c-span) recently with the Big Dog in Philadelphia, I noticed Kerry again talked about the middle class. I would have loved for him to specifically talk about the poor. I know the Democratic Party is the best choice for poor people, yet it seems they aren't mentioned very much. Then I wondered if there was a political reason for that. If anyone has any explanation for this please post. Thanks.

4. I've known several people who have had to file for bankruptcy
....because of their medical bills and having no insurance. John edwards is right when he says Bush's health care plan is "pray that you don't get sick". Because if you do and you don't have health insurance, you will lose everything.

5. Bush has failed America for his actions solely reward patrons, including
large corporations, and otherwise implement a far-right PNAC agenda: this necessarily results in destruction of the environment; the economy; the job market; the value of the dollar; civil liberties; international law, treaties, alliances, and good will; and countries targeted by the PNAC agenda.

8. Only the middle class will help the poor, the rich cant help themselves.
It's the only way they know, like their poster boy for generational aristocracy at the taxpayers expense.
