Clinton's Sunday Stump, Possibly in NLR, Like 2000 PB Rally for Ross
North Little Rock (AP) - John Kerry's Arkansas campaign says former President Bill Clinton will definitely visit his old home state Sunday, possibly on the North Little Rock riverfront.

Kerry's state campaign director Rodney Shelton says Clinton, who is still just seven weeks off heart surgery, will be coming from stumping in New Mexico and his health won't allow all the details to be finalized.

In 2000, then-President Clinton was kept off the Arkansas campaign trail until the last moment by a guarded Al Gore. It may have cost Gore the election.

Mitchell Lowe, director of the Bush campaign in Arkansas, has a strong warning for Clinton. He says the former president will be gambling his political credibility in Arkansas because as a Kerry supporter, he's on the wrong side of the issues as far as most state residents are concerned.

6. Pine Bluff
south of Little Rock - I believe Clinton had a rally there in 2000 for Gore.

12. Pine Bluff -where Clinton elected Dem Rep Ross in upset
The only areas in AR that Clinton hasn't won:

Mountain Home NCentral-Chicago Retirees
and
Springdale/Benton Co-home of Sam Walton/
Tyson
and
Ft Smith

SDale and Benton Co will be Republican
until The GOP requires Pols to sleep
w/ live boys and/or dead girls.

FS is strange. Walking in a rich enclave it was
70/30 Bush/Kerry yard signs.

Usually 100%.

2. Lowe, idiot, listen carefully:
Bill Clinton, sadly, is NOT RUNNING. Why would he be worried about his "political credibility"? Anyway, he has more "political credibility" than all the Republicans running in this election.

And the second part of the statement is SO stupid- I don't even understand it. Because Clinton is a Kerry supporter... he shouldn't campaign... for.... Kerry??????

What planet do these guys live on? What is their native language?:freak:

9. Oh yeah, I'm sure he's worried
<<as a Kerry supporter, he's on the wrong side of the issues as far as most state residents are concerned.>>

Aside from the fact that Clinton doesn't much have to worry about his own political capital anymore, and the fact that he hasn't exactly been guarded about declaring his affiliation in the past, don't you think that his support for Kerry was already pretty well presumed before he went to campaign for the guy? I mean, even if Clinton stayed home and never endorsed anybody, don't you think every single person in Arkansas knows whose side BILL CLINTON is on?

10. Clue phone for Lowe:
More than 100,000 people showed up for a campaign rally in Philly with Kerry and Clinton. A swing state.

MORE THAN ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND PEOPLE. For a campaign rally.

I'm sure the Big Dog will take your lame-assed "warning" under advisement.

13. Clinton lost 1 statewide election in AR, 1980
To Frank (the banana) White, in the Reagan
landslide.

And Clinton was just too cocky then-hindsight.

Since 2000 AR has 2 Dem Senators, 3 Dem Reps
and just one Republican -Boozman(WalMart).

Ar only state to kick out Rep USSenator in 2002.

14. Preach it!
I agree wholeheartedly. AR goes blue this year, and the R quoted above is suffering from an intense episode of myopic paranoia.

"Dems to Bonehead. Come in, Bonehead ... Clinton was elected President twice. You're projecting your own mental instability on the nation if you think people don't like and admire Clinton. Get a clue!"

:D
