Variety: Sundance Channel to air "Bush's Brain" night before election
Sundance probing 'Bush's Brain'
Voters bombarded with pol docs

By IAN MOHR

NEW YORK -- The Sundance ChannelSundance Channel is planning a November surprise of its own by airing the feature docu "Bush's Brain" on Monday, the night before the presidential election.

Move follows the Independent Film Channel's push to air two other political docus -- Michael Moore's "Fahrenheit 9/11: A Movement in Time" and David O. Russell's "Soldiers Pay" -- also Monday.

"Brain," by helmers Joseph Mealey and Michael Paradies Shoob, profiles Karl Rove, the powerful political adviser behind the president. Pic is based on last year's bestseller of the same name by journos James Moore and Wayne Slater.

2. Slam! Go Robert Redford!
I love that RR is pissed about Woodward turning into such a whore.

This is awesome!

12. more on this topic, please.....
Are you assuming Redford feels that way, or did he say that in an interview or something?
I was hoping he'd get really pissed off and do something with the Sundance Channel this election, and he's really come through!

3. Hijacking catastrophy is better.
Most of the speakers in Bush's brain are Republicans who were burnt by Rove.

5. I was not a Sindance fan....
However, once they started to carry Al Franken show, I set up our Tivos to get it every day. I amy become a Sundance fan if they become a voice of reason.

6. Just so people are aware, the F 9-11 film is NOT F 9-11.
It is a 'tribute' film - "IFC presents a tribute to the most provocative documentary of our time. Featuring interviews with Mario Cuomo, Richard Gere, Susan Sarandon, Wyclef Jean, Bonnie Raitt, Michael Stipe and others."

It's a half hour show. Shown twice on Friday Oct. 29 and once on the 30th, depending on your time zone, it could be once on Friday and twice on Sat. lol.

Go here for schedule in your time zone:

7. It's great

that Sundance is doing it, but it's really preaching to the choir. Most people don't get Sundance and won't know about it. Most that watch it are liberal. It's actually a cool station and at first I never was into...IFC is really cool too. Indy flicks are pretty interesting once you get into it.

Maybe it'll get some Naderites to back Kerry though.

15. I'd originally heard it was on Bravo
Which would be preferable, since it probably reaches more homes and undecided/soft-support viewers.

But I'm grateful to Sundance for showing it, along with the other political movies they'll be showing that night (and have been showing throughout the election season).

:bounce:hooray for the sundance channel:bounce:

16. We need to get the word out to people
LOADS OF RURAL people have sat tv. And have this channel.
The more people know that its going to be one the more of them that will watch it

How can we let rural America know to tune in.?
