NO CANADIAN IRAQ TROOPS FOR KERRY, PM SAYS

Canadian Press

OTTAWA — Canada won't commit troops to Iraq regardless of the outcome of the U.S. presidential election, Prime Minister Paul Martin indicated today.

Martin offered his standard reply when asked if he would send more troops in the event of a victory next week by Democratic challenger John Kerry.

Canada's military resources are simply tapped out, he suggested.

Kerry has presented himself as the best man to lead an international coalition in Iraq. The Democrat has relentlessly attacked President George W. Bush's failure to bring Canada and other allies onside.

But Martin again offered his stock line when asked if he was in effect telling Kerry, `No.'

2. Keep your mouth shut Mr. Martin
You know you want Kerry as much as the rest of us. Just wait a few more days before making such comments please.

12. Why should they help us invade a disarmed country??
Absolutely they should not send troups. The event in Iraq is a war crime and Kerry should end it immediately.

7. Canadian troops are for peacekeeping
There's no peace in Iraq right now. Plus they keep getting ripped off from British submarines.

10. Yeah
I'm just being a dumbass. Canadians are a hell of a lot more intelligent than much of America. I just thought it was funny to think of the Canadian military as being "tapped out." Reminds me of what a friend would say if I were to go to his house and ask for a beer.

In response, he'd say, "Sorry man. I'm fresh out," as he pushes the six-pack to the rear of the fridge.

13. Good job, Canada
It is high time to bring the troops home, not send more to Iraq.

With today's news that 100,000 Iraqi civilians have perished in this murderous invasion, we must abandon the fantasy of "finishing the job," admit failure, and get out of that quagmire as fast as we can.

Then we can start paying reparations and making amends for this savagery, just as Germany did after WWII.

14. Not going to be the last country to decline, either.
Kerry's DREAMING if he thinks other countries are going to throw troops into the meat grinder.

Of course, I'm still hoping he wins Tuesday!
