5. Gore going to Hawaii will rescue the state for Kerry |
|
Hawaii Republicans are enjoying an unusual bump in their traditionally Democrat heavy polls. This is going to be tough.
When Kucinich was told that visiting Hawaii would give him Convention Electors, he did it. Consequently, he got his biggest lot of electors from Hawaii.
Nevertheless, Hawaii is heavily Democratic by tradition, and Internationally savvy by necessity.
Cheney going there will energize the Republicans as it did with the Gay Rights issue in the late 90s. Gore going will energize the Democrats who have a much bigger constituency.
Perhaps something like, "Hawaii, will you be the state that condones our current path of irresponsible leadership and catastrophic costs, or will you affirm the realities of 2000, that our country wants a unifier, not a divider. Hawaii wants what America wants. Hawaii wants John Kerry!"
Just get him to loosen up a bit. The Hawaiian air will do him good!
Live and learn. I'm going to have to make some telephone calls now to my friends in Hawaii.

But Howard Dean or Kucinich would be just as great!!!
Howard Dean was endorses by our Congressional Representative and Fmr. Governor Ben Cayetano.
Also, Gore should discuss the environment since that is a big issue here.

sending Gore to Hawaii doesnt get my hopes up. When did Hawaii last go for the GOP? sound like big trouble to me:( Here in Florida we keep hearing rumors that all is lost. I still have my fingers crossed( and toes). Just got an email that Springsteen and Midler will be here this weekend. Say another prayer for us here in the sunshine state.

I'd recommend getting the hell out of the panhandle. It's too close to Alabama.

21. Sending Gore to Hawaii |
|
Sending Gore is not a bad thing. Hillary Clinton would be a much better choice. It might be too expensive in political terms to take her out of the large swing states. I don't know who else could be sent without hurting the campaign. Perhaps Helen Hunt or some other priminent Hollywood people could go out ther to help with GOTV efforts.

Maybe a nice bikini or grass skirt photo op would "schwing" some young male voters... let's send Cate Edwards too.

|
This amazing event will be at the Farrington High School Auditorium. Sign waving begins at 4pm and the event starts at 5:30. Please come out and join with these wonderful Democrats to continue our momentum to victory on election day! We are going to get a real president again!
