Alabama Congressional Candidate Injured

LaFAYETTE, Ala. (AP) -- A congressional candidate's antebellum home burned down early Friday, and he broke his knee jumping from the second floor.

Bill Fuller, a Democrat who faces an uphill battle against Republican Rep. Mike Rogers, also suffered smoke inhalation, as well as scrapes and bruises from the 15-foot jump into the bushes, said his spokesman, Ken Mullinax.

The home was built in the 1840s and was recently remodeled

"There is no indication of anything other than an accident," said Ragan Ingram, a spokesman for the state fire marshal's office.

3. Especially since there's been something of a track record

4. Odd how no GOP folks are dying before elections
and how its always a few days before...a housefire in a house that is 160 years old..what are the odds of that..

6. You mean they'll find that there just happened to be gasoline
seeping into the rugs downstairs?

It must have been a pretty nasty fire if he had to jump out of a second floor window.
