Talk about giving a campaign a shot in the arm.
A Long Island state senator up for reelection Tuesday gave away more than 1,100 doses of coveted flu vaccine at a "Golden Gathering" health event for seniors he sponsored yesterday.

"We had a huge turnout," Sen. Dean Skelos (R-Rockville Centre) told the Daily News. "In all honesty, it's a shame that people have to wait on line. Quite frankly, there should be a supply ."

Skelos told The News that he arranged for the shots through South Nassau Communities Hospital and individuals he declined to name.

"It certainly shows the power of the incumbency," said Rachel Leon, executive director of Common Cause/NY. "It's probably a good thing, but couldn't he have waited until two days after the election?" Skelos' opponent, Democrat Josh Ketover, could not be reached for comment.

14. That;s okay...a film shot at Demo HQ in Rochester shows..the 2 bus

loads of County residents who were bused to Canada for their shots at a Clinic there...Where...yes, Canada..and sure they have enough...Each of their residents can get a shot for free and they have enough to share with us...Oh how lucky we are to have smart neighbors.
