þ BAGHDAD, Nov 1 (KUNA) -- The Iraqi cabinet issued an order to the þ
þministries banning all Iraqi officials from holding interviews or giving þ
þstatements to the Qatar-based Al-Jazeerah satellite television channel.þ
þ A source, who declined to be named, told KUNA Monday that a memo has been þ
þcirculated to all the ministries on Sunday banning the officials and employees þ
þfrom having interviews with the channel or giving it any statements.þ
þ The source noted this order has been active starting October 30.þ
þ The Iraqi government issued two orders to close down the offices of þ
þAl-Jazeerah channel in Baghdad. The orders are still active
