New video takes light-hearted poke at "Bushisms" ahead of election
LOS ANGELES (AFP) - "I know how hard it is for you to put food on your family," a sympathetic US President George W. Bush (news - web sites) told baffled single mothers in one of his inimitable foot-in-mouth utterances.

Just days ahead of Tuesday's US presidential election, a new political film is taking a light-hearted poke at the lexicon of unique words and phrases invented by the leader of the free world.

The one-hour film titled "Bushisms" gently lampoons 50 of the president's most memorable verbal gaffes, welding them together with commentary by US comedian Brian Unger and author Jacob Weisberg, who has compiled three volumes of "Bushisms" into book form.

"It'll take time to restore chaos," Bush reassured people in a speech on the situation in war-torn Iraq (news - web sites) featured in the movie.

1. I've always thought we should play the "Bush Is Stupid" card more often.
I think even people who want a "President they can relate to" would be turned off by the staggeringly stupid things he's said over the years. I do hope my personal favorite, the terrorists who kill "at the whim of a hat" makes the cut.

A peeance, freeance secure Iraq in the midst of the Middle East will have enormous historical impact," he said without pausing or stalling, even as audience members scratched their heads over what "peeance and freeance" means in any country.

5. But seldom is it asked, is our children learning?
One of his more harmless, yet stupid utterances.

7.  "It'll take time to restore chaos,"
and plenty of it he has caused. It will take considerable time for John Kerry to straighten out the MESS-IN-POTAMIA that AWOL has created not to mention Afghanistan, Haiti, the economy, national image, US credibility, etc., etc., etc.

I never thought I'd see the day that I would say that Poppy Bush was a whole lot better than his unfit son.

Check this photo--Kerry supporters from Bangladesh. Bush was right about one thing--he is a uniter--he united the entire planet against him. Wonder how many other countries this is happening in.

10. It's interesting that millions of people are OK with this craziness
Every year a daily calendar comes out with new "Bushisms" that are (in some cases) off-the-wall. This has never happened before, and yet many people think it's cute???

11. he means everything he says
I find it amazing that his outrageous statements are poopooed as "bushisms". You know, "he couldn't really mean what that sounded like, isn't it cute". The man is evil and I have a file in the FBI probably. ooop, homeland security I mean. Thanks for letting me rant.

MAKE THE PIE HIGHER
by George W. Bush

I think we all agree, the past is over.
This is still a dangerous world.
It's a world of madmen and uncertainty
and potential mental losses.

Rarely is the question asked
Is our children learning?
Will the highways of the internet become more few?
How many hands have I shaked?

They misunderestimate me.
I am a pitbull on the pantleg of opportunity.
I know that the human being and the fish can coexist.
Families is where our nation finds hope, where our wings take dream.

Put food on your family!
Knock down the tollbooth!
Vulcanize Society!
Make the pie higher! Make the pie higher!

"This is a poem made up entirely of actual quotes from George W. Bush. The quotes have been arranged only for aesthetic purposes, by Washington Post writer Richard Thompson."

13. Great, but hopefully it will be moot after tomorrow night
If Bush loses then who will care.

This is one guy that I think people will want to forget about and sweep under the carpet.

After Bush loses it will be enough to stomach the guy until Jan. 20.

After that his administration will be a bad dream.

If the Republicans are smart they will chalk up his four years as a learning experience and work w/ Kerry to get things straight. They should distance themselves from any and all Neocons, or devided we will remain.

If the Republicans take back up the ideas of Eisenhower and take back their party from the Neocons and Christian Reich then we can be assured that our country will strive forward regardless of who is president ... maybe not as well as under a Democrat, but at least we won't teter on the edge of armagedon.

Speaking for myself I can't wait to forget Shrub was ever selected president. His four years are a dark stain on American history.

Time to get back to being a democracy and a shining light for the rest of the world to aspire to.

Time for Americans to wave the flag once again instead of wearing it over our heads.

Go Kerry!!!!!
