Democrats register more Oswego County residents [for the first time]
For possibly the first time in the history of Oswego County, new voter registrations favor the Democrat Party.

Newly registered Democrats in the county total 1,766 while Republicans registered 1,467. Democrats said this week they are "ecstatic" to have garnered one shy of 300 more new voters than the Republicans.

"I think people are beginning to see what's going on and they want change," said Oswego County Legislator Mike Kunzwiler, who serves as the legislature’s minority leader. "This is the first time in history that there are more new registered Democrats than Republicans."

2. I looked up the link
and this is in New York ( central). Probably a good idea to tell folks where Oswego County is.

5. I live one county over and...
in Onondoga County it's mostly Republicans. We've had our Kerry/Edwards signs stolen off our lawn and signs go missing on public highways. They are replaced with Bush/Cheney signs. It's sad. Republicans have no class.

6. "one shy of 300" why not just say 299 instead of using the word "one"
reminds me of four and twenty blackbirds or something.

8. Someone needs to tell that reporter that the official
name is "Democratic Party." It isn't "Democrat Party," and it never has been. Its legal name is the "Democratic Party," from the documentation I've read.

9. I got a sign from the Democratic Party
that says "This Home Votes Democrat", I didn't even put it up because it irritates me. I don't know why the Democratic Party itself doesn't get it right.
