Castor dances with Jimmy Buffett at WPB rally

Buffett, who has become a regular fixture among Democratic candidates' final-day fly-arounds, said Castor was one of the first people he met in state government about 20 years ago.

"Way back then, I knew this day would happen because she has simply got it," he said.

Buffett entertained the crowd with customized lyrics to such favorites as "Jelly Man" and "Margaritaville," while Castor danced briefly on the makeshift stage with Graham and her husband, former state Rep. Sam Bell. They were joined on stage by local officials and Castor's son, Frank, daughter-in-law Rita, and their children, Kerry, 7, and Katie, 3.

"Hey, hey, sweet Betty. I think you're ready. How about going to Washington, D.C.?" Buffett sang.

He changed the lyrics in "Margaritaville" to "watching the sun bake all of those Castor-heads covered in oil," and "I know this is all Jeb and George's fault."

as a Castor contributor, but I could not make it since I had to work (no subs for University Profs :-( ). Sounds like I missed a good time. I will console myself by watching Bruce and Kerry in Cleveland on C-SPAN.
