U.S. Report Ties Iraq Unrest to Poor Planning
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A "brutally honest" report prepared for the U.S. military Joint Chiefs of Staff blames post-war unrest in Iraq on hurried, inadequate planning before the invasion, defense officials said on Wednesday.

The classified report on lessons learned in the war says U.S. commanders were so busy preparing to defeat Iraq's military and directing the fight that they were given too little time to properly prepare for "Phase IV" peace, according to the officials.

"It is a brutally honest report," one of the officials, who asked not to be identified, told Reuters. "It shows that the military is self-critical -- not just satisfied with 93 percent effectiveness in combat."

The newspaper said the report, prepared last month, showed that Bush approved the overall war strategy for Iraq in August 2002, eight months before the first bomb was dropped and six months before he asked the U.N. Security Council for a war mandate that he did not receive.

1. Bush approved the strategy in August 2002?
Sort of makes all those claims he was making between September 2002 and February 2003 that he "hadn't made up his mind" whether to launch in invasion look sort of -- what's the word the media like to use instead of "lie" -- like exaggerations.

One of two things will happen to this report: It will be changed before release to blame Clinton; or we'll never hear another word about it until the new version of "On Bended Knee" comes out for the corrupt Bush administration.

3. There is no surprise here.....

AWOLs signature is his shallowness,
he does not want to be bothered
with a full set of facts and is
incapable of deep, pondering thinking.
He is probably dyslexic and easily
irritated. He is the worse piece of
@%#&*!!%$^&! anyone has ever seen
in the WH.

I hope the U.N. says.......NO NO NO
NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO
NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO
NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO
thank you!

....earlier than April 2002, because Franks gave a SUNDAY television interview on NBC from Fort Hood Texas at that time. This was an obvious operational indicator that upcoming deployments were being planned at that time to the Centcom theater. Not a word was said about what the CENTCOM CDR was doing at Fort Hood on the program, another indicator that the deployments were already planned.

5. They have been planning this for a decade
Some of the Bush controllers saw the chance to get a foothold in Iraq and took it with this invasion. The rish elite like the US economy in a depression because they can buy up companies, assests and stocks for pennies on the dollar. Plus they can now stick us tax payers with the cost of the invasion, thyat money goes right into their cronies pockets. Next they can have the UN try and control the Iraqi people while be keep a number of bases in that country that allows the Pentagon to go covertly into ALL the countries in the region. What a deal they got.

6. and brutally misleading too!
What are they trying to say? That if they had planned a hostile and illegal invasion better that we would now be welcome there? The notion is totally absurd. So is the concept of "winning the peace," the war never ended. It won't end for us until we leave.
