Now they are blowing up schools in the USA
(true story, but it was an accident)

-- A National Guard F-16 fighter jet on a nighttime training mission Wednesday fired 25 rounds of ammunition that tore through an intermediate school. No one was injured.

The military is investigating the incident that damaged Little Egg Harbor Intermediate School shortly after 11 p.m.

Police were called to the area when a custodian heard what sounded like someone running across the roof of the school. The custodian was the only person in the school at the time.

Police Chief Mark Siino on Thursday said police officers noticed punctures in the roof. Ceiling tiles had fallen into classrooms and there were scratch marks in the asphalt outside the building.

The 2-inch long bullets are made of lead and do not explode, said Col. Brian Webster, commander of the 177th Fighter Wing of the New Jersey Air National Guard.

It was unclear why the shots were fired, Webster said.

11. Boys will be boys. Besides, they need a little practice on
schools, hospitals, etc. before exporting their death and destruction to Iraq.

13. Wasn't this the same unit that bombed the Appalachian trail
a couple of weeks ago? Something wrong with the mechanism that drops the bomb supposedly, and a lead grapefruit was dropped near Indiantown Gap.

I searched for the post, but I got a server really tired message.

I think they're based at Willow Grove.

14. LOL, had something similar happen to me
Years and decades ago I lived down in the Pomme de Terre Lake area of SW Missouri. There was a quarter mile bridge across the lake, and on various clear mornings, fighter-bombers would be up from Fort Scott KS, practicing their stuff.

Apparently one of their practice runs was bombing this bridge. Well one bright Saturday morning I had just gotten on the bridge to cross it when a plane comes roaring over and WOOMP WOOMP, I cannot see a damn thing except for a white fog for a minute. I slammed on the breaks, let things settle down and took a look around. After seeing the two flour bags I concluded that they were on practice bombing runs, using flour.

Came about fifty feet from dropping one through my truck roof.
