Rove, Bush Campaign Architect, Cultivated Christians
Nov. 4 (Bloomberg) -- Four months after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, Karl Rove used a rare public speech to disclose his re-election strategy for George W. Bush: hammering home the theme that the president would make the country safer.

Privately, Rove engineered a different plan: cultivating church leaders who could help lure back to the voting booths the 4 million evangelical Christians who Rove believed had ditched Bush in 2000 because he had a drunk-driving record.

``He wasn't going to let that happen again,'' says Scott Reed, who was Republican Bob Dole's presidential campaign manager in 1996. ``Rove had an aggressive plan that started four years ago to work with church leadership to organize and speak positively about the Bush agenda. He recognized that social conservatives were the key to the kingdom.''

Four years after Bush became the first person since 1888 to win the presidency while losing the popular vote, Rove -- his chief political strategist and a man the president yesterday called the ``architect'' of his campaign -- secured a second victory. And he did it largely by turning out evangelical Christian voters.

"I am the Architect. I created the Matrix."

Remember folks, it took Zion 6 generations to defeat the Architect. We nearly did it twice in 4 years.

1. Rove is the Anti-Christ
If not, he's certainly as anti-christian as one can get.

What a vile, disgusting bastard of a man. He deserves the absolute worst.

2. Actually Newt Gingrich is responsible for this sh*t. Rove just followed
in his footsteps. It was Gingrich who teamed up with the Christian right.

8. According to the bible
there would be many anti-christs.

The anti-christ isn't a particular person. It is someone who manifests the dark energy of the anti-christ. There are many in the WH who are the embodiments of this dark energy.

3. Poseur Christians.
Where do I begin. I'll tell you what Jesus wouldn't do:

Jesus wouldn't turn his back on the poor nor call poor people welfare queens.
Jesus wouldn't be so selfish with his money. Period. (This is a deal breaker.)
Jesus wouldn't lie or swindle people to make money under any circumstances.
Jesus wouldn't insult minority groups and assume they're genetically inferior or criminally inclined.
Jesus wouldn't assume that all white people are better than everyone else.

Oh, geez, I could go on. I live among Republican Christians and they are poseurs and I intend to remind them of their hypocrisy every chance I get.

Shrub's growin' up years to Kerry's. Someone posted a link on DU at one time. I remember Shrub saying something like "ya, I could do this! I could do this real easy to win". He never stopped using 'em since then.

Here it is, chapter 5.

I sent this to every Repug I knew, got about 3 or 4 converts from it, saying "hey, Kerry's not that bad I guess" :eyes: These are the types of people who rarely read the paper, catch bits and pieces of Faux, listen to their buddies spew Rush all day and believe every piece of spam e-mail they get!

9. Yep, I know we are all going to go thru hell with the boy idiot, but in
some ways I will take some sort of sick enjoyment of watching it all implode on him, and the Republican party. They won't be a welcomed party again for years once it's all done. Perhaps Kerry lucked out afterall.

11. Rove's own faith?
What, if anything, is Rove's religious denomination or affiliation? I thought I read once that he himself is not even a believer, but I haven't seen anything else about it. Does anyone know?
