the system isnt broke. its the operators of the system that need changing. the system served us well and i'm sure it can be improved. but this massiveness that 9/11 commission report is talking about. i wonder. was this s ome sort of way to tell bush that he needs to change?
i dunno. i've known quite a few people in the service and as much as i know, they arent the ones that should be blamed. the higher ups who are supposed to be connecting the dots, now that's where blame should be going. and lets not forget. how many caveats did bush get over iraq? and ignored every last one of 'em holdin up that cowboy image to the rescue.
but our intel is just as good as anybody elses... and of course it can always be improved. but was 9/11 a reason of faulty intelligence? i hardly think that's appropriate. warnings were given. the low-man on the totem pole is not who makes the decisions.
the bush presidency has been all about who can i blame for things when they don't go the way i want, and i mean everytyhing that goes wrong. yet they're shoving others out of the way when it comes time to take credit for something good. i dunno, forget about the deeds bush has (or in his case, has not) done. and look at the man. he's a con man. straight up 'i'm tje bpss so you have to do what i want', its easy to see where the 'with us or against us' comes from.
but there's another side to him. the evangelical side, the empty one, one without spirit. there's no spirit in george w. bush. people with spirit do not lay things out black and white all the time. people with spirit think for themselves, because that's whenGod is whispering. i can assure you, God has not been whisperting to george w. bush.
i've read the family, by kitty kelly, and thought it was trash straight up. i'm sure she meant it to be that way. but did i learn anything new about george w. bush? you bet. but what i learned to be true, basically only confirms what i had to take as chance & guesswork already. i dont interact with the guy, please. he couldn't handle me. but i do know him from just watching him, reading about his history, and it never dawned on me that the painted persona was not that much different from the human persona. people tend to make bush what they want bush to be, yet bush is one of these guys who gives 'em what he wants to give 'em. ego? maybe. but its something else. something unique in that it doesn't manifest in too many people. but president of the united states he was never meant to be. there's an aberration underway, and we can only hope and pray to God that he's on top of it. the presidency came across and he jumped on it. he wants to be the top dog, the one givin the orders, the one who doesnt ever have to take responsibility, and never ever admit to being wrong. some would blame his evangelical upbringing for that. i'm not so sure that evangelical lifestyle is what made george bush, george w. bush. it had a part, no doubt, ut it's more of a little boy always trying to win, win at all costs. that sorta thing.
but i am depressed that george got the whitehouse again. am i angry? you bet. but will i try to make a better situation knowing that bush is going to be one way, and i'll just have to be another way. i wish people didnt take everything we do that doesn't jibe with the bush mantra, as bush-bashing. why does bush gotta be the victim?
oye, its 3AM, and i'm still not sleepy. tired, but not sleepy.
