MoveOn.org Moves In (on Calif. recall)
Edited on Thu Sep-04-03 01:59 AM by kskiska
The MoveOn.Org political action committee, which supports left-leaning candidates with an Internet-based political network, is moving on to the recall campaign. The group is asking its members for help in generating 1 million online pledges from Californians pledging to vote against the recall. The pledge drive bears watching because MoveOn has demonstrated the ability to use the Internet to generate political action, and the recall itself was birthed in part with help from the Internet…

Rest of the short article has a negative pro-recall spin.

1. the recall "is"actually non democratic---and that article is wrong
Edited on Thu Sep-04-03 02:27 AM by aunteeWar
The recall was contrived by right wing extremists as an attempt to take power in California after their party's candidate "LOST" the election. The recall was hyped and the signatures we signed by mostly uninformed or mis-informed people.

That article says that move.on 's slogan is not correct
but I'd say it is very correct
--their slogan: Recall No, Democracy Yes.
That works for me!!!
