HOUSE WATCH-9/5/2003 (#1)
108th Congress
1st Session
Friday, September 5, 2003

The House convenes at 9:00 AM.

There will be 5 one-minute speeches per side today.

There will then be a VOTE on the Dingell motion to instruct conferees on H.R. 6, the Energy bill, at approximately 9:15 AM. This motion requests the conferees to resolve the electricity portion of the bill by September 12.

Following this vote, there will be a VOTE on the Cooper motion to instruct conferees on H.R. 1308, the Child Tax Credit bill. This motion requests the conferees to support the Senate version of the bill (which passed 96-2).

The House will then consider H.R. 2765, the FY 2004 D.C. Appropriations bill under a Unanimous Consent agreement providing for 1 hour of general debate. The only amendment in order is the Tom Davis amendment (debatable for 40 minutes).

Following disposition of H.R. 2765, the House will consider the Ruppersberger motion to instruct conferees, which will be similar to the Cooper motion described above.
