County wants investigation into voters who tried to vote twice

Associated Press

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Broward County officials want prosecutors to investigate about 30 registered voters who attempted to cast ballots twice in the Nov. 2 election.

Members of the county's canvassing board, who certified the county's election results Friday, said they were concerned about voters who cast ballots by touch-screen voting machine at early-voting sites in the days before Nov. 2, then tried to cast paper ballots at the precincts on Election Day.
(snip)

Meanwhile, the board tallied ballots for 87 Broward voters serving in the military.

Those voters chose Democratic candidate John Kerry over President Bush, 51-34. Two did not make a choice in the presidential race.
The number of rejected overseas military ballots was not available, but County Judge Robert Lee said more were rejected than counted.

1. Interesting
Kerry won those military votes. It just makes me wonder how many votes he really got.

2. look for more of these stories as counts and recounts continue...
Rovians have to make it look like WE cheated worse than THEY did, and this is the only avenue they have....multiple votes.
(also watch for "dual citizenship" NY/Fla investigations)

3. How convenient!
CNN just reported this story. I find it interesting that they reported that the voters who tried to vote twice were Democrat. There silence has been deafening regarding the allegations of voter fraud, but report this story. I should not be surprised anymore!

5. I want an investigation
Who is to say that someone didn't cast votes for people in early voting without their knowledge, and then when they showed up to vote they are told that they already voted.

I couldn't find any reference to this story at CNN's website and the article I read didn't identify the 30 voters in question with any party affiliation.

I know that in NC when I went to early vote, I didn't have to show any kind of ID, all they asked me was my home address, which someone could have gotten from the phone book.

If we can trigger a national discussion into voting problems it will benefit all of us. We cannot once again let the right frame the issues. We have plenty of documented evidence that problems exist and that it hurt Kerry badly, maybe not enough to overturn this election but there is a clear case of ELECTILE DYSFUNCTION in our country and this issue needs to be looked at and then resolved.

4. Always something old, something new
something should have gone blue!
The great mission will now be to attach any voter fraud to the liberal electorate and call this a 'mandate' by spinning the election even further. Wake up america, this is the beginning of a new era in computer assisted theft of civil liberties and the rights we have and love!
