WASHINGTON (AP) -- From his domestic policy platter, President Bush chose to serve dessert before the main course. Having now won a second term, he may find it increasingly difficult to deliver on the meatier stuff, even with the political capital he is claiming and larger GOP majorities in the House and Senate.

HE DOESN'T CARE!

There WILL be no such thing as a "domestic policy". There will be a CORPORATE policy masquerading as a domestic policy. It's all about money money money and it only flows one direction - into *'s pockets.

Unfortunately, most people are so stupid as to ignore that fact completely. They say any civilization is three meals away from a revolution, and * is going to keep us at two and three-quarters for the rest of his family's reign.

I know that the majority of them have to be making less than $200,000 a year. That means most of them are carrying the tax load that Bush is leaving behind for them. What does it take for them to wake up? Bankruptcy? Job loss? Not even those things really seem to wake most up.

Hell, the majority of them have to be making less than $50,000 a year if not lower. I can recall encountering about five people in the last decade who wouldn't consider $200,000 a year to be wealth beyond the dreams of avarice.

Actually, I don't really think anyone believed that Bush would take care of them on the "back end" . I think they wanted to take their cut on the "front end" meaning, "gimme mah damn tax break and we won't worry about the rest".

Bush appealed to their greedy, shortsighted nature. My boss made that clear right after the election. He voted for Bush because "I get to keep more of my money". No other reason. He's got a good deal because he has several pensions coming in from different sources and he's not worried.

I wonder how he'll feel 10 years from now, after his company renigged his pension plan and suddenly he needs some medical treatment. We'll see....
