Conservative Group Hits Teachers Union
This was on the list of top news stories when I came home just 30 minutes ago, but was gone in a flash. The degree of hypocrisy present in the actions of these pukes is COMPLETELY beyond description!

Here's the link:

http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=519&ncid=519&e=11&u=/ap/20030905/ap_on_re_us/nea_taxes_4

And a couple of juicy snippets:

<snip>

WASHINGTON - The government should start a criminal investigation into the nation's largest teachers union to see whether the organization improperly used dues money to influence elections, a conservative law firm says.

<snip>

Mark Levin, president of Herndon, Va.-based Landmark, said, "The complaints we filed today show, in meticulous detail, how the nation's largest, most powerful and most political union has flagrantly ignored its tax obligations."

Under the tax code, unions cannot use dues money to influence the election or defeat of any candidate. Contributions to candidates and parties are supposed to be made by separate political action committees.

9. TAX ALL CHURCHES!
If these lying thieves that run "churches" want to get involved in the political process, make them pay their fair share of taxes, just like the flocks the so dishonestly fleece!

10. Whether or not
they want to get political, I think churches should be taxed. And if Republicans were true to their professed convictions, they would agree with me. After all, churches used to be taxed... and the whole Republican agenda is about turning back the clock to the good old days, before women and minorities got uppity, before people knew what the word "pollution" means, before kids started questioning authority... and before churches were given tax-free status.
Seriously, I do think that churches should have to pay tax. Arguments in favor of sheltering them from tax just don't make sense to me.
