Aaron Iversen, 38, died while on security duty for a private contractor. The vehicle he was driving was attacked during the week, and an explosive that hit the windshield killed Iversen and another security worker.

Iversen grew up in Texas near Dallas, and his body is expected to arrive there Tuesday or Wednesday, accompanied by his brother Shane, who is also doing security work in Iraq.

Funeral plans are pending.

PLAYED THE $2,000.00 A DAY GAME AND LOST

4. It varies between 1500k to 3000k a day.
And you can thank these same mercs for starting the first Falusha uprising back in April. They don't coordinate with our troops, yet they want US troops to help them out when they get in trouble. Frankly, as quoting a US Soldier, "they are one giant pain in the ass cowboys."

2. They have families too, but I still don't feel sorry for them...
They make the choice to go and off they go to the highest bidder. Where as US soldiers don't have a choice and seem to be getting shitty treatment by the gov't they serve. So these mercs can go scratch for all I care.

5. too damned bad
These guys know what they are getting into over there. No pity here. I'm sorry for the family, but Daddy rolled the losing dice. Let 'em write a thank you letter to George and Dick.

6. Being a mercenary in a video game is alot different from being a merc in

real life. In real life you get no extra lives. In real life, when a limb is blown off there is no magic potion to regenerate it. And the people you kill are real people with real lives and real families, not some digitized polygon with a name and description.

9. One world ... One world
The Dogs Of War

Dogs of war and men of hate
With no cause, we don't discriminate
Discovery is to be disowned
Our currency is flesh and bone
Hell opened up and put on sale
Gather 'round and haggle
For hard cash, we will lie and deceive
Even our masters don't know the web we weave
One world, it's a battleground
One world, and we will smash it down
One world ... One world
Invisible transfers, long distance calls,
Hollow laughter in marble halls
Steps have been taken, a silent uproar
Has unleashed the dogs of war
You can't stop what has begun
Signed, sealed, they deliver oblivion
We all have a dark side, to say the least
And dealing in death is the nature of the beast
One world, it's a battleground
One world, and we will smash it down
One world ... One world
The dogs of war don't negotiate
The dogs of war won't capitulate,
They will take and you will give,
And you must die so that they may live
You can knock at any door,
But wherever you go, you know they've been there before
Well winners can lose and things can get strained
But whatever you change, you know the dogs remain.
One world, it's a battleground
One world, and we will smash it down
One world ... One world

12. ~~~~
Caught in quicksand
Starting to sink
So tired of struggling
That my mind can barely think
Don’t know where I’m going
Lord, I don’t know what I’m gonna do

Fuel supply is finished
Ain’t nothing left to burn
I need someone to help me
But I don’t know which way to turn
I know I don’t have much of a choice
I’ll go out of my mind
Or into the night

Rolling and tumbling
Spinning end over end
Got to have some peace and quiet
So I can find myself again
Ask me what’s the matter
Hey, I don’t know what to say

People all around me
But I’m so alone
I guess they’d like to help me
But I have to do it on my own
I know I don’t have much of a choice
I’ll go out of my mind
Or into the night
