Clashes, Car Bomb Leave 10 Dead in Beiji (US convoy attacked)
Edited on Wed Nov-17-04 11:02 AM by Barrett808
TIKRIT, Iraq - A car bomber rammed into a U.S. convoy Wednesday as American forces battled militants north of Baghdad, leaving a total of at least 10 people dead, witnesses said.

At least 20 others were injured by the car bomb and the heavy clashes in Beiji, 155 miles north of the capital.

There was no immediate comment from the U.S. military on the incident, and it was unclear whether there were any American casualties.

Beiji is the site of Iraq's largest oil refinery and a major power station.

TIKRIT, Iraq Military officials in Iraq say three U-S soldiers have been injured in a suicide car bombing in Beiji (BAY'-zhee).

The soldiers were taken to a nearby military hospital for treatment.

Witnesses say the attacker's car rammed into a U-S convoy traveling in the city.

A head of hospital security says U-S forces opened fire when the bomb exploded.

Witnesses say the blast happened as the Americans were fighting rebels.

Local hospital officials say the attack killed at least ten people.

5. Catastrophic success, Mission accomplished. Rah! Kill 'em!
when will people start waking up to the horror we created?
For, since we are americans, we are collectively guilty of this situation.
