LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Reuters) - A day before the Clinton presidential library opens, officials were on the defensive on Wednesday about an impeachment exhibit that some have described as tilted in favor of the former president.

Scandals such as the sexual relationship with intern Monica Lewinsky are part of a section called "The Fight for Power" in which there are discussions of the partisan politics that led to Clinton's 1998 impeachment and later acquittal.

Rutherford said there was a full and honest disclosure about the impeachment process, which is a prominent part of the library that will officially open on Thursday. Critics said the exhibit plays up the partisan rancor and plays down Clinton's moral lapses.

"Impeachment is right in the center. It is the first word you see when you walk in," Rutherford said.
