Bush, Kerry clash over health care

In an appearance with medical professionals at the Cleveland Clinic, Bush advocated private initiatives like medical savings accounts and called for $125 million in spending to promote medical technology.

"The fundamental question facing the country is: Can we have a health-care system that is available and affordable without the federal government running it?" Bush said.

Kerry outlined his plan to expand health coverage to children in an address in Washington to health-care advocates. He was greeted with a standing ovation, and he offered a blistering critique of his former opponent.

"That's how the president who promised to usher in a `responsibility era' proposes to deal with a real and present health-care crisis, even as he seeks to hype a phony crisis in Social Security," Kerry said, after telling his audience that Bush's plan would raise health premiums and leave families and children without care.

1. Stay in the lime light Kerry!
This is the way to go. Become the shadow President. Give us all someone to root for not just someone to root against!

Get together with Boxer and Kennedy and KICK SOME ASS!

2. One of the things people kept bringing up
was that all his years in the Senate, he didn't do anything, people didn't hear about him crushing Reagan and Bush with the Iran/Contra, to them it was just a vague person or all of Congress doing the investigation, not Kerry, nor did they hear about the World Bank investigations, so to many, he did nothing...So now he is bringing forward bills and acting like a president for all to see....
