Sunday WP Devastating v. Bush, Iraq Policies!!
Edited on Sun Sep-14-03 02:18 AM by copithorne
The Sunday Washington Post hammers Bush and makes the Iraq situation appear to be in crisis. It's an historic edition. I wish the ship that was sinking wasn't the ship we are all on.

Public Says $87 Billion Too Much
The lead story is a poll with free falling numbers for Bush's handling of issues:

3. comments on articles
Of all the articles, "Iraq's Security Weakened by Fear: U.S- Trained Police Are Accused of Being Collaborators and Spies" is the most telling of what portends in Iraq. With feelings like this, there is no way the U.S. can win. Just no way. The feelings of the people are that they hate us. They will never work with the U.S.

It's hard to believe some of the items in the other articles, like the one entitled, "Public Says $87 Billion Too Much." Lieberman leading the pack, for example. Lieberman?

And that bush leads a named Dem candidate by 15%. Maybe so but it discounts the fact that once a trend is set in motion, such as what is happening with the American public finally waking up, such a figure is pretty much irrelevant. Still, I can see why they had to mention it.

BTW, thanks for posting these, copithorne. Nice to have the links all in one place.

4. Littleman bush leads by only 15% percent?
I suspected they would say, littleman leads by 30% percent. If he only leads by 15% percent, he's toast but we really want him to be roadkill.
