Remember Darryl Worley?
I take it that Darryl Worley's song "Have Your Forgotten" was a big hit last spring. I heard it on CNN, at the end of Lou Dobb's Moneyline; it accompanied a video of Our Soldiers going off to war.

Sample lyric:
Have you forgotten how it felt that day
To see your homeland under fire
And her people blown away?
Have you forgotten when those towers fell?
We had neighbors still inside
Going through a living hell
And we vowed to get the ones behind Bin Laden
Have you forgotten?

I've been there with the soldiers
Who've gone away to war
And you can bet that they remember
Just what they're fighting for.

1. Worley's hoping that we've forgotten...
about his dumbass song.

I listen to country stations quite a bit. Funny how I haven't heard this piece of shyte played in the last week or so.

2. I wanted to strangle him.
Seriously. I'd participated in some anti war protests and I was also in lower Manhattan September 11 so, yeah, I remembered.

The first time I heard that song was on bleeping CNN! They were using it as an audio background for a war coverage video.

What was that again about "liberal" media?

3. Shameless self promotion
Check out my version of his song...

Little Darryl is also a shameless self-promoter.

Enjoy.

5. Ever see the South Park with Darrell Worley
self promoting himself with every development of the kids making a tower to heaven.

IT was hilarious!

4. I despised that lying piece of propaganda from the first time I heard it.
I posted on numerous message boards about my feelings regarding that disrespectful, deceitful song. Of course, I never tried to get him pulled from anyone's playlist. Too bad freepers couldn't follow that example.

6. I HATED this song too
and turned the channel EVERY time it came on. And I will never buy another Worley CD. I read recently where Toby Keith who had the 'put a boot in their ass' rah rah song wasn't really sure he supported the war. Of course, that didn't stop him from wrapping himself in the flag, showing his singing for troops and otherwise whoring himself.
