LA Times Commentary: Paths of Glory Lead to a Soldier's Doubt
http://www.latimes.com/news/opinion/commentary/la-oe-predmore17sep17,1,1681259.story

I once believed that I served for a cause: "to uphold and defend the Constitution
of the United States." Now I no longer believe that; I have lost my conviction, as
well as my determination. I can no longer justify my service for what I believe to
be half-truths and bold lies.

1. Wow.
I wonder how many others feel this way, but are afraid to say it.

2. Many others, and they've been saying it.
Stars and Stripes letters have been very outspoken, and they in turn will embolden others.

3. When are the American people
going to realize that the, we have to go to war to protect the American people, was a lie?

4. I Knew...
I realized it when the build up began. If these soldiers had any interest in protecting the American people, Ashcroft would be in stocks outside of the DoJ building.

And all the members of Congress who voted for war, as well as the Bush Cabal would be in Gitmo, awaiting trial for treason and murder.

The board at Halliburton would be on trial, with all of their assets seized and redistributed to so that the US military could do its job.
