1. I was just going to post this. How depressing this analysis is.

Chimpy does have a way out of being held accountable--of course, it means he will screw us much much more and for a very long time to come. Never misunderestimate a psychopath, I guess.

2. When the rich become alarmed

at their own lying and lawlessness as epidemic in their class and institutions it is really sad to listen to. So much faith in their superior status and quasi-ideology and so much befuddled and hapless reaction to their own power gone amok.

Of course they will do nothing and can imagine nothing better than temporary handwringing, low profile and vactions on the Riviera. Grasso slinks off miffed at losing power over looting millions while his peers are mildly embarassed at the possible scandal and repercussions that never quite surface.
