CBS correspondent John Roberts recently delivered a commencement address wherein the best example he could give as to the lack of accountability in America was the case of the runaway bride.

And, following the example of ABC News, Roberts has joined AAAA, the American Association of Asshole Anchors, as he peppers the CBS News with inane comments apparently designed to ingratiate himself with what he desperately hopes are young viewers.

After a story about how the omnipresence of DVDs is responsible for so many empty seats in movie theaters, he observed, “But still, the new Star Wars really rocks.”

Reacting to the story of female race-car driver Danika Patrick coming in fourth at the Indianapolis 500, he managed to crystallize his feelings in one simple word: “Awesome.”
